The auctions are over! You can see the results for the
Linna
or
Nene
auctions on eBay. They sold for the amazing total of $4750!
Many years ago, AnimEigo obtained several hand-made hardsuit costumes
crafted by Mr. Takagi Ryoosuke, a professional modeller. These particular
pieces were showcased in an article of B-Club Magazine in Japan, and one
of them (the Nene costume) was worn in the article by Nene's voice actress.
These costumes have lots of cute features, including built-in
prop weapons, claw articulation, and much more. Really cool stuff!
We showed off the costumes at several conventions, but the time and
expense of shipping them to conventions (and the wear and tear on the costumes)
made this impractical to continue doing. So they went into storage,
and have been in storage for several years.
We have come to the decision that since we can't really use these
costumes anymore, we ought to pass them on to fans who can properly restore,
care for, and exhibit them.
Please note that these suits are sold as-is; they both require
cleaning, repair, repainting, and there may be small parts missing. These
are complex costumes best suited (ahem!) for serious cosplay enthusiasts.
They are designed to fit petite women.
Larger versions of each photo can be obtained by clicking on them.

The Nene costume is the more sophisticated of the two. It is made of metal and
fiberglass components. Apart from repainting, the major damage to this costume
is that the two antenna on her helmet have broken off.

The Linna costume is constructed of both metal and soft foam components. The
major damage to this costume (apart from repainting) is that over time, the
foam panels have lost some of their curvature, and they'll have to be rebent
to the correct shape.
